   Usually they cost between $35-$100 per hour. A couple of options include:

   - Contact your local college and see if a student of their interior design program can take on the project

   - Contact your local furniture dealer and see if they offer in-home consultations

   - Contact your local drapery company and see if one of their designers can meet with you

   - Look for interior decorators (they typically are less expensive than designers)

   It really depends on what part of the country you live in. I see a previous answer stated $ 35 to $100 dollars per hour, however in South Florida for example you would be hard pressed to find any real and educated designer for that price. Price usually ranges around $100 to $250 an hour depending on their experience and and project type.

   Do your research and be sure you hire a professional, after all this is your home and you wan to be happy with the end result.
