There is a good chance that every beautiful home that you have entered or seen in a magazine have a commonality. They all have probably had beautiful dining rooms. As you look around the room, everything from the dining chairs to the curtains are in perfect shape and color.

Your dining area can look just as great with just a little effort on your part. If you have beautiful dining room table and chairs then you have a great start. If there is a window in your dining room your room will look extra spectacular with a window treatment that sparks up the room.

Pick out a set of curtains that match the wall color in your dining room. Once you have found the perfect pair of curtains then you can look for some fabric that matches that you can cover your chairs with. You can give your room a very unified look by matching the curtains to the cushion fabric.

If you have ever been invited to a friend or relatives house and their dining room chairs were not padded and uncomfortable, you can imagine what people feel if yours are just as uncomfortable. Even just a little time sitting on an uncomfortable chair can give someone back or leg pains and will surely make them want to leave in a hurry.

You can make everyone that visits feel at home and comfortable if your dining chairs are padded and clean. Changing the padding and covering on your chairs is a very easy way to do it. By just spending some time in a fabric store, you will surely find a fabric that is perfect for your dining space. Pick up the fabric and some foam pads and you are all ready to decorate.

The first step to covering your chairs is to measure and cut the fabric so that it covers each seat completely. If you have existing fabric on your chairs, remove one of the pieces and use it as a pattern for the new fabric that you will be applying. Be sure to cut a piece of fabric for each chair that you will be covering.

Spraying the fabric down with a stain reducer is always a great idea. Since the chairs will be used for dining the chances of food or beverages being spilled on your chairs is a big possibility. The stain guard, such as Scotch Guard, will protect your new fabric and allow you to easily wipe away any spills.

Wait for the fabric protector to dry and then begin putting the fabric on the chairs. Be sure to pull the fabric very tight so that you have no bumps or wrinkles in the seat area of the chair. Take a staple gun and staple the extra fabric to the bottom panel of the chair.

When you are done with all of the chairs in your dining area you can sit back and enjoy the beauty that you have created. You will have created a beautiful dining area by simply adding some beautiful curtains and recovering your dining chairs. You will be very happy with the look as will anyone who stops by to visit.
